The User Engagement requirement entails providing services related to understanding and meeting the needs of users in the context of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS). This includes activities such as market research, assessments of a range of customer needs, from the sophisticated to the addressing the needs of underserved communities, customer and user experience research and analysis, as well as education and support for users and customers.
The goal is to optimize the design and delivery of products, services, and observing systems to benefit diverse users. The User Engagement team works closely with other teams within NOAA to collect and analyze user requirements, manage observing system capabilities, and provide strategic planning and advocacy for observing systems.
