Dan Wunder brings over two decades of professional experience to his role as a Program Manager at Riverside, where he excels in managing complex scientific projects and leading teams to achieve results efficiently. With a background that includes serving as an Air Force Weather Officer and holding positions as a Program Manager in the private sector, Dan possesses a wealth of expertise in overseeing diverse projects with precision and effectiveness. At Riverside, he plays a pivotal role in managing multiple contracts for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), spanning areas such as climate science, data preservation, cloud migration, hydrology, and numerical modeling.
Dan’s academic journey includes earning a graduate degree in Atmospheric Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, further solidifying his expertise in his field. Additionally, he has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2012, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in project management practices. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dan is deeply passionate about mentorship, finding fulfillment in helping others realize their full potential in their careers.
Originally hailing from Michigan, Dan now resides in Asheville, NC, where he is close to his son and two daughters. Outside of his professional commitments, Dan enjoys a variety of interests, including riding motorcycles, golfing, exploring local breweries, and avidly supporting the University of Michigan Football team (Go Blue!) With his diverse skill set, dedication to mentorship, and zest for life outside of work, Dan embodies Riverside’s values of leadership, collaboration, and personal growth.
