This session is part of our Riverside Community Workshop series. In each workshop, one creator from the Riverside community shares their methods, tips, and workflows to help teach and inspire you.
For this session, we’re joined by Steve Stewart, co-founder of the Podcast Editors Academy and a veteran editor who has helped countless podcasters sharpen their sound and polish their content. Steve isn’t just about making edits — he’s passionate about the why behind editing, and the principles that make content truly engaging.
In this workshop, we’ll dive into:
This is more than just a technical how-to. It’s a conversation about editing as a creative craft. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and rethink how you approach your edits to help you walk away with practical tips to make your audio and video shine.
Steve is the Podcast Editor for some of the biggest indie personal finance podcasts like the Stacking Benjamins Show, Afford Anything, and the MilMo Show. Steve also created the Podcast Editors Club, now with nearly 10,000 members, and co-founded the Podcast Editor Academy - which helps individuals build their own podcast services business. When Steve isn't editing podcast, he's volunteering his time to fire mitigation in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range and recently started pushing himself out of his comfort zone...by occasionally giving sermons at the little county church he attends 😬. But mostly - he's just editing…and loving it!
Kendall Breitman leads Riverside's community of creators, supporting the thousands of creators in the Riverside community, helping them hone their skills, create new connections, and reach their goals. A people person to her core, Kendall's passion is connecting with creators and hearing their stories. Before joining Riverside, Kendall worked as a political reporter and television producer for news outlets like NBC and Bloomberg.
