Riverside's head of community shows how she records client calls and uses the transcripts to support each client and learn more about her business.
The video covers:
00:00 If you conduct client calls, you know that there's so much information packed within those calls. Not only information about your clients and what they can need to be better supported by you, but also follow-ups and next steps. And along with that, important information that you could use for your business, like pain points that your clients all share or things that they struggle with, things that make them feel great, or other messages that you can use for things like marketing your business. So I want to teach you a way that we use in Riverside to take client calls and have them be used for even more. And that's to be able to educate your business and make your clients feel even better about your services. So let me walk you through exactly how I do it as head of community at Riverside. So when I'm conducting my client calls, I do record them, but I do let them know that it just for my educational purposes
00:46 is just to make sure that I don't miss anything so that I can be fully plugged in during the call. It's also so that they can feel more comfortable and know that it won't be used publicly. That being said, I did let the person know for this call that I would be using their call for educational purposes. So Justin, thank you for letting me use this call. And I'm going to be using it to walk you through exactly what I do. So at the end of my call with my user, I get a recording. And so I have those separate tracks. But what I really care about here is this transcript. So I'm either going to download it or copy it. Or for me, I've actually used the Riverside MCP and connected Riverside with my Claude or chat TPT account. So let me show you how I use that and how I use Riverside together to really get even more out of these calls.
01:30 So I'm on Claude, for example, and I'm going to show you that first, if you go down to your name and you go over to your settings, you can connect Riverside directly to your Claude. And that means that it can go in and it can scan your recordings and it can actually make creations for you. So you could tell it to make a clip or something like that, and it'll make it and put it in your Riverside account. It is very cool and has a lot of opportunity there. But for this, I'm going to show you how it uses transcripts. So I'm going to go over to connectors and you could see that I added Riverside. You could search for Riverside and add it that way.
02:03 If using chat TPT, it's a similar method to be able to do it. Also, if you don't want to directly connect your Riverside account, you can do what I did before, which is go over to your project and just copy or download that transcript. This is how I do it pretty easily using Claude. So over here, I'm going to start a new chat. So for the purposes of this tutorial, I told Claude that I am a podcasting coach. And for each recording, what I wanted to do is look at each transcript. And I wanted to give me a quick snapshot of who my client is and the main points that we covered. Also what they're struggling with and what they asked for help in and some next steps as well as a simple 30 day coaching plan for them.
02:42 I can go in and make this even more specific as I want to. Then also for each call, I wanted to create a highlight reel. This is just for myself because I like to see visually the person that I talked to the energy that we had just in case a few months from now, I want to look back at that client call and feel like I can jump right back into my call with this client. I also had a draft of follow up email for the client so that I can say, Hey, thank you for the call. Here are some next steps that we can do. And I also want it to show me trends that are happening within my client calls. So maybe all of my clients are struggling with similar things. Maybe they're using the same words to discuss and describe something. It helps me be able to market better to future clients and be able to understand them more in a general sense. So I asked for things
03:27 like the most common challenges, questions and topics that keep coming up, any gaps where I can create a new offer, things like that, that can actually help educate my business and not just as one client call. So I really love this prompt because not only does it help me with this specific person, but it also helps educate my business. So from this one, I'm going to have it do run this prompt for my client call with Justin. And from there, this prompt will connect to my Riverside. And from there, it's going to scan the transcript of that call and give me all of the things that I asked for, including a highlight reel and a draft of an email that I can use to follow up with my client, Justin, and tell him a lot more next steps that we can use.
04:10 And so now Claude is going into my Riverside account, taking that one transcript from that call and then extracting everything that I asked it to do. And so now it has that snapshot and everything that I asked for it. So has my snapshot. It has the main points that we covered as well as what he's struggling with, some next steps, and a 30-day plan. It also created a highlight reel for me, which I'll show you in a minute, and a follow-up email so that I could just take this, copy it and send it right to my client so that we can talk about the next steps from our call. And if I jump back into my Riverside account, really cool thing you'll see here is that it created this highlight reel for me under my edits. It's already in my account.
04:49 And so now if I have a call with him in a few months from now or a few weeks from now, and I want to be able to jog my memory, I could just go right in and watch this highlight reel and understand exactly where we left off. And so as I feed the system more client calls, it'll be able to show me trends, words that keep coming up, problems that I can solve, and be able to help educate my business as well. So that's how I use transcripts and client calls to go beyond that call and make it more of a meaningful experience, not just to my clients, but also to my business as a whole. So I'm going to take that email, copy and paste it, and send it right over to my client. And I hope that this helped you use your client calls even better within Riverside.
